About The Role

As Sales Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day operation and performance of the New Vehicle Sales department.

You'll lead from the front - setting clear expectations, coaching your team, driving sales performance and ensuring every customer receives a premium experience from enquiry through to delivery.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys being on the showroom floor, working closely with their team and taking accountability for results.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead, motivate and develop the New Vehicle Sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.

Set and monitor individual and team KPIs, including sales performance, gross profit, conversion and customer satisfaction.

Coach and develop Sales Consultants through regular feedback, one-on-ones and performance reviews.

Review and negotiate deals, pricing and trade-in valuations within delegated authority.

Drive enquiry management, CRM activity and follow-up to maximise sales opportunities.

Manage showroom operations, vehicle presentation, stock levels and ageing inventory.

Work closely with the General Manager, Business Manager, Service, Parts and Marketing teams to maximise performance and deliver a seamless customer experience.

Monitor departmental performance,



prepare sales forecasts and identify opportunities to improve processes, profitability and revenue.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a natural leader who can get the best out of people while maintaining a robust focus on commercial results.

You'll ideally have:

Previous experience in an automotive Sales Manager, Assistant Sales Manager or senior sales leadership role.

A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

Strong leadership, coaching and people-management skills.

Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Strong commercial understanding and the ability to manage gross profit and departmental performance.

A proactive, positive and solutions-focused approach.

Excellent follow-up, organisation and time-management skills.

The ability to lead by example and hold yourself and your team accountable.

A current driver's licence.

Automotive dealership experience is highly regarded, particularly experience with new vehicle sales and OEM processes.
