About the Role Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Retail Inventory Specialist to join their team in Queenstown . This role is critical for maintaining the accuracy of inventory records, ensuring optimal stock levels, and supporting the smooth functioning of the retail store. You will be responsible for tracking inventory, conducting counts, managing stockroom organization, and implementing efficient inventory control procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for numbers, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to precision in managing stock within the Eastern Cape retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct regular and accurate inventory counts , including cycle counts and full physical inventories.
- Maintain precise inventory records in the company's system, promptly updating stock levels.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Manage stockroom organization, ensuring items are stored correctly and accessible.




- Track incoming shipments and verify quantities against purchase orders.
- Provide reports on inventory status, stock adjustments, and shrinkage to management.

Requirements

- Proven experience as an Inventory Specialist , Stock Controller, or in a similar inventory management role.
- Solid understanding of inventory control principles and best practices.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and spreadsheet applications.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
