- Manage the department's interests in corridor management activities under the Transport Infrastructure Act 1994, relevant public utility acts and other related acts and regulation.
- Manage, condition and approve sporting and entertainment events that impact the SCR network including traffic management requirements and permits for all relevant works and activities impacting SCR traffic efficiency.
- Manage and coordinate responses relating to people experiencing homelessness within the state-controlled road corridor, in collaboration with relevant government agencies and support services.
- Lead, mentor, and coach a workforce of professional and technical staff working in diverse activities to ensure that appropriate technical standards are applied, workloads are managed and the department's strategic objectives are achieved.
- Lead and provide technical direction for corridor management activities, access to state-controlled roads, control and approval of ancillary works and public utility plant and encroachments on SCRs to ensure impacts are minimised and are compatible with existing and future road transport infrastructure.
- Provide professional advice and expertise to department's technical specialists and project teams.
- Liaise with state agencies, local government, utility providers and consultants regarding transport and land use activities within the region and with other teams in the department relating to the application of policies and procedures for corridor management.
- Maintain appropriate and effective liaison and communication with the community, local government and industry groups to manage network administration and corridor management activities within the region.




- Prepare ministerial correspondence and briefing notes for corridor management matters.

- Provide leadership, direction, support and technical guidance to the Corridor Management team to protect state-controlled roads and corridors under relevant legislation, acts and policies.
- Manage team performance by prioritising work and organising the team to provide timely responses and meet legislative timeframes with clear and accurate progress and performance milestones.
- Manage internal and external relationships and build networks through collaboration and transparent and concise communication.
- Build team capability by identifying resource needs and promoting development opportunities to build skills and foster high performance and empower staff to take responsibility for decisions and resolve their own issues.
- Display rigour in advice on complex issues supported by clear rationale and analysis to provide clear and concise advice in a timely manner.
- Desirable: Tertiary qualification and relevant professional
