Lime Recruitment is currently working with a Queensland Government client to recruit a Lead Developer, AI. In this role, you will lead the development, enhancement, and support of the whole-of-government AI platform and web applications. You will drive innovation, leverage emerging LLMOps toolkits, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver secure, high-quality digital customer services across the public sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development, enhancement, and support of the whole-of-government AI platform and associated web applications, applying contemporary development practices across cloud, integration, and AI-enabled environments.

Design and deliver innovative AI applications and products for the Queensland Government using emerging LLMOps toolkits and technologies.

Collaborate with team members using Agile methodologies to build new features, improve digital customer services, and foster a continuous improvement, product-focused team culture.





Ensure all operations, processes, and practices comply with relevant legislation, enterprise security standards, and government requirements, participating in on-call and after-hours support as required.

About You:

Advanced expertise in React, TypeScript, Node.js, and server-side integration with Azure services.

Solid experience with Cosmos DB (data modeling and query optimization), Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Bicep (Infrastructure as Code), and Azure API Management.

Demonstrated proficiency with Azure AI services, Azure Search, and ideally OpenAI or other large language model (LLM) technologies, supported by solid knowledge of enterprise security, .NET technologies, and test automation.

Proven ability to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable AI-enabled solutions within collaborative, Agile team environments while adhering to governance standards.
