About the role
We are seeking an organised and proactive Administrative Officer, to support our Specialist International Medical Graduate (SIMG) programs.
Reporting to the Team Lead, SIMG, you will coordinate Performance Assessments, Short-Term Training and Area of Need applications, while supporting SIMG Committee activities. You will work closely with SIMGs, hospitals, assessors and internal stakeholders to ensure processes are delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with relevant requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate SIMG Performance Assessments, short term training applications and associated administration.
- Respond to enquiries and provide explicit information to SIMGs, hospitals and assessors.
- Support SIMG Committee meetings, including agendas, minutes and follow-up actions.
- Maintain accurate records, correspondence and database information.
- Coordinate fees, invoices, assessor arrangements and travel where required.
- Contribute to process improvements and provide broader support across the SIMG team.
About the team
The Training and Assessment unit sits within the Education function and leads the delivery of training, assessment and support across ANZCA programs. The team works closely with internal stakeholders, committees and external partners to deliver high-quality, compliant and efficient training operations.
About you
- Experienced in administration within a professional environment.
- Highly organised, with strong time management and attention to detail.
- A confident communicator with strong written and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working with diverse stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
- Proactive and customer-focused .
- Sound judgement and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess situations and determine appropriate solutions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel, with experience using databases.
- Highly regarded: Experience in an academic, membership or regulatory environment.
