Tavira Bakehouse is a brand new Patisserie / bakery situated inside the Recent fish market building! We are seeking an experienced Bread Baker to join our quality-focused team. We are a quality-driven bakery patisserie focused primarily on naturally leavened breads, supported by a refined viennoiserie and pastry offering.

Full-time position $70-75k based on experience

Growth & Technical Development

Work alongside experienced chefs in an environment built around process, precision, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Mix, ferment, divide, shape, and bake a range of artisan breads
- Manage sourdough starters and fermentation schedules
- Produce small quantities of viennoiserie and laminated products as required




- Maintain strict quality and consistency standards
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients
- Uphold food safety and cleanliness standards at all times
- Support the viennoiserie section .

Requirements

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a qualified bakery
- Strong understanding of bread production and fermentation
- Confident with sourdough and long fermentation processes (preferred)
- Ability to work mornings, weekends, and public holidays
- Reliable, organised, and detail-oriented
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
