Our client is seeking a meticulous and proactive Quality Improvement Engineer to join their team in Queenstown. This role is integral to ensuring the highest standards of product and process quality across our operations. You will lead initiatives to identify quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement in quality management systems. Working in a hybrid model, you will collaborate with production, engineering, and management teams to foster a robust quality culture. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining customer satisfaction and operational excellence through effective quality assurance and enhancement strategies.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement quality improvement plans and strategies to enhance product and process quality.
- Conduct root cause analysis of quality defects and non-conformances, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor and analyze quality data, identifying trends and areas for improvement in production processes.
- Lead and participate in quality audits, both internal and external, to ensure compliance with standards.




- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quality considerations into new product development and process changes.
- Facilitate quality training sessions for production and quality personnel to promote a strong quality-focused mindset.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or process improvement roles.
- Solid knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and tools (e.g., SPC, FMEA, Six Sigma).
- Proven ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement effective CAPA plans.
- Experience working in a hybrid work environment, demonstrating adaptability and effective communication.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
