Sales Engineer

About the Role

CoolAutomation is growing in Australia, and looking for an experienced Sales Engineer to join our team.

This is a customer-facing technical sales role suitable for someone already familiar with the Australian HVAC and building automation markets and, most importantly, with strong industry connections in Sydney and NSW.

Requirements

- Established relationships with HVAC companies, mechanical contractors, system integrators, BMS companies, consultants, and other key players in the Sydney/NSW market – a must.
- Proven experience in HVAC, BMS/building automation, controls, or technical sales
- Strong understanding of VRF/VRV HVAC systems and BMS connectivity.
- Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, and building automation systems
- Ability to engage both technical and commercial decision-makers
- A track record of developing opportunities and turning relationships into business
- Hands-on technical capability, with confidence discussing system architecture,



supporting system integrations, and helping customers solve practical HVAC control challenges.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the NSW market

Key Responsibilities

You'll work closely with HVAC contractors, BMS integrators, consultants, and partners to expand CoolAutomation's presence across NSW.

This role combines business development with technical sales engineering. You'll identify new opportunities, leverage your existing network to build relationships and open doors, provide technical guidance, deliver product presentations and demonstrations, support projects from specification through implementation, and help customers select the right CoolAutomation solutions to meet their needs.
