We're looking for a motivated intermediate business services accountant with 1–2 years' experience in public practice to join our team. We give you broad exposure and real client responsibility from the start; you’ll work directly with the senior accountant across compliance and advisory work. It’s a hands-on role with genuine client contact and a clear path to progress.

Key responsibilities

- Preparation of financial statements, income tax returns, Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals including sole traders and SMSFs

- Assist with tax compliance and planning matters

- Assisting with cash flow forecasting and budgeting

- Conducting technical research and providing technical support to senior staff

- Liaise directly with clients and help manage their day-to-day queries

- Communicating with the Australian Taxation Office regarding client affairs

- Use cloud accounting platforms (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, Class Super) and work paper software

About you

- Full, ongoing working rights in Australia





- 1–2 years' experience in an Australian public practice accounting firm

- A relevant degree, with CA or CPA commenced or about to commence

- Solid knowledge of Australian tax and accounting fundamentals

- Exposure to SMSF accounting and compliance

- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work papers

- Proficient written and verbal English communication, given regular direct client contact

- A willingness to take ownership of your work

- Experience with cloud accounting software, and with MYOB AE (desirable)
