We are seeking an experienced Core Logging Geologist for an active copper exploration program in WA’s north-eastern Pilbara. This hands-on role combines detailed diamond core logging with supervision of Field Assistants and the day-to-day running of the core yard.

The Role

- Log diamond drill core, including lithology, alteration, mineralisation and structure

- Review core orientation, recovery and geological measurements

- Supervise and guide Field Assistants undertaking core processing, photography, cutting and sampling

- Oversee sample selection, QA/QC, tracking and dispatch

- Maintain accurate geological records and enter data promptly

- Work with drilling crews and the wider geology team to keep the program running safely and efficiently

- Maintain a safe, organised core yard

About You





- Tertiary qualification in Geology or a related discipline

- Robust, recent diamond core logging experience

- Experience supervising or mentoring Field Assistants

- Sound understanding of core processing, sampling and exploration QA/QC

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently

- Current driver’s licence and Australian working rights

Copper exploration experience would be an advantage. This opportunity would suit a practical geologist who enjoys working closely with a field team and taking ownership of core logging and core yard standards.
