An established and growing Western Australian gold producer is seeking an experienced Senior Ventilation Engineer to join its underground mining team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior ventilation skilled to take ownership of ventilation engineering, optimisation and improvement initiatives within a well-established underground operation.

The Role

Reporting into the underground technical/management team, you will provide specialist ventilation expertise across the operation, supporting safe and efficient mine production.

Key responsibilities include:

- Develop and maintain short- and long-term ventilation plans.
- Undertake ventilation modelling and simulation using Ventsim.
- Manage and optimise underground ventilation systems.
- Lead ventilation projects, audits and improvement initiatives.
- Monitor ventilation performance and provide technical reporting.
- Ensure compliance with WA mining legislation and site ventilation standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve ventilation efficiency and reduce operating costs.
- Work closely with Mining, Technical Services and Operations teams.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership on ventilation-related matters.

About You

You will ideally have:





- Strong underground hard-rock mining ventilation experience.
- Extensive experience in Ventsim ventilation modelling.
- Strong knowledge of WA underground mining legislation and ventilation requirements.
- Experience with ventilation planning, audits and system optimisation.
- Experience delivering ventilation infrastructure and improvement projects.
- The ability to work effectively with Mining, Technical Services and Operations teams.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
- Current WA C Class Driver’s Licence.
