This role coordinates the Department of Education's work to reduce waste and use resources efficiently.

This is a full-time position, but applications for part time or job-share arrangements will also be considered.

About the role

The Circular Economy Officer will:

- coordinate the delivery, monitoring and reporting of circular economy initiatives within the department
- identify and develop initiatives that enable the department to improve circular economy outcomes and establish systems, processes and guidance to support their delivery
- build capacity of corporate staff to achieve circular economy and other sustainability outcomes through their work
- coordinate with government and industry stakeholders to understand emerging issues and opportunities and contribute to Victoria's circular economy goals.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

- professional experience in developing and delivering policies, programs and projects related to circular economy




- a relevant tertiary qualification in a field related to environmental sustainability
- experience collaborating with multidisciplinary stakeholders and communicating complex ideas to different audiences.
