Kinda Kapers is a family-owned group of Long Daycares, operating across Newcastle and the Hunter for over 35years. We cater for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.

We are seeking a cook who is highly motivated and enjoys following recipes to cook nutritious and wholesome meals for the children in the centre.

This position will be based at our Adamstown Centre, working 25 hours over 5 days a week Monday till Friday 9am - 2pm.

Applicants should hold:

Essential

- Working With Children Check.

- Foundations training via GECCKO

- NSW Safe Handling of Food Certificate

Desirable:

- NSW Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.

About You:

- Ability to work autonomously with good time management skills.

- Caring and nurturing nature.

- High level of professionalism and communication skills.

- Robust interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.





- Knowledge of the Food Standards Australia.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea for up to 45 children (including food for children with special dietary requirements and allergies)

- Follow set recipes and menus and order groceries according to the set weekly menu.

- Work in accordance with food safety regulations for safe and hygienic handling, storage and preparation of food and drinks.

- The ability to comply with relevant food handling legislation, childcare regulations, and company policies and procedures.
