About the role

Flagstaff Hotel is seeking a confident and capable Gaming / Duty Manager to oversee daily and nightly venue operations across our bistro, bar, gaming room, sports bar and bottleshop. This full‑time role is ideal for someone who thrives in a quick‑paced environment, enjoys leading people, and is committed to delivering consistent service and compliance standards. You will be responsible for supervising staff, maintaining gaming compliance, managing customer experience, and ensuring smooth open and close procedures. The role includes a mix of day, evening and weekend shifts.

Key responsibilities

- Lead and supervise venue operations across bar, bistro, gaming and bottleshop

- Maintain gaming compliance (RP, Advanced Gaming, H&L; reporting)

- Manage daily and nightly open/close procedures, cash handling and reconciliation

- Support, coach and guide team members to deliver consistent service

- Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues professionally

- Maintain venue presentation, safety and responsible service standards

- Contribute to a positive, supportive and team‑focused workplace culture

About you

- Previous hospitality leadership or supervisory experience

- Current RSA, RP,



and Gaming qualifications

- Strong understanding of gaming compliance and venue operations

- Confident communicator with a calm, solutions‑focused approach

- Able to work autonomously and make sound operational decisions

- Availability for a rotating roster including nights, weekends and public holidays

- Positive attitude, reliable work ethic and commitment to team culture
