Martin Metal Works is a family-owned fabrication and installation business working across quarry, concrete and industrial plant projects. We’re looking for an experienced Draftsperson to join our team in Longwarry.

This is a varied drafting role covering structural and mechanical projects. You’ll need to be confident managing your own work while working closely with our workshop, site teams and clients.

The role

- Create 3D models and detailed drawings using Autodesk Inventor.

- Develop drawings for plant upgrades, conveyors, bins, chutes, platforms and other fabricated equipment.

- Work from engineering drawings, project requirements and site information.

- Prepare clear drawings and material information for fabrication and installation.

- Work with the workshop and site teams to resolve practical design and fit-up issues.

- Manage drawing revisions and meet project deadlines.

What we’re looking for

- Strong,



proven experience with Autodesk Inventor.

- Experience drafting structural or mechanical projects, ideally for industrial plant or fabrication.

- Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects and solve problems.

- Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate with tradespeople, project managers and clients.

- Good attention to detail and an understanding of how drawings translate into fabricated work.

- Ability to attend site and take accurate measurements would be a bonus.

We offer a full-time position, varied projects and the chance to work directly with the team building and installing your drawings. Salary will be negotiated based on experience.
