We are seeking two Rangers to join our team at Brimbank Park in ongoing, full-time positions. The roles provide an opportunity to contribute directly to the on-ground management of Parks Victoria's estate and deliver a diverse range of services and projects.

The Opportunity

As a Ranger at Brimbank Park, you will contribute to the day-to-day management of parks and reserves, delivering a range of on-ground services and projects under general supervision.

Your work may include conservation programs, pest plant and animal management, visitor infrastructure and asset maintenance,



compliance activities, community engagement and visitor management. You will also have opportunities to work with Traditional Owners, volunteers, park users, licensed tour operators and other stakeholders.

Rangers may also participate in fire and emergency management operations and compliance and enforcement activities, where required and following appropriate training.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver routine and moderately complex on-ground services and projects, contributing to land, conservation, infrastructure, asset and visitor management outcomes.
- Work safely and responsibly, identifying and managing risks and complying with occupational health, safety and wellbeing requirements.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a safe, respectful and inclusive working environment.
- Use sound judgement and initiative to resolve operational issues and identify opportunities to improve service and project delivery.
- Engage constructively with members of the public, volunteers, park users, Traditional Owners and other stakeholder s.
- Represent Parks Victoria positively and demonstrate accountability, integrity and professionalism in your work.

About You

You are a practical, team-oriented person who enjoys working outdoors and contributing to positive outcomes for parks, visitors and the community. You can work effectively under general supervision, take responsibility for the quality and timeliness of your work,



and use your judgement to resolve day-to-day operational issues.

You will bring strong communication and interpersonal skills, a collaborative approach and the ability to engage positively with people from a range of backgrounds. You are reliable, safety-focused and committed to delivering high-quality on-ground outcomes.

You'll bring:

- Relevant qualifications and skills in areas such as environmental science, natural resource management, conservation and land management, outdoor education, community engagement, carpentry or another relevant trade.
- Demonstrated experience delivering routine and moderately complex on-ground services or projects as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated teamwork, problem-solving and community engagement skills.
- A current Victorian driver's licence.
