About the role

Join our Nutrition and Dietetics team as a Specialist Home Enteral Nutrition (HEN) Dietitian, providing high-quality, evidence-based care to paediatric and adult patients requiring enteral nutrition.

Working alongside a Grade 3 HEN Coordinator and the wider multidisciplinary team, you’ll support patients and families across the Barwon Health region while contributing your expertise to the delivery of best-practice enteral feeding services.

The role is primarily based at University Hospital Geelong, with opportunities to work across other Barwon Health locations, including the McKellar Centre and Primary Care. Weekend and public holiday service may be required.

Our Nutrition and Dietetics team includes more than 20 Dietitians and 7 Dietitian Assistants, providing services across a broad range of clinical specialties. We are committed to clinical excellence, consumer-centred care and strong interdisciplinary teamwork.

Key responsibilities

- Provide specialist dietetic care to paediatric and adult patients requiring HEN
- Work alongside the Grade 3 HEN Coordinator to deliver best-practice enteral feeding care
- Provide clinical support to the wider Nutrition and Dietetics team in enteral nutrition
- Collaborate with patients,



families and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
- Mentor and support junior Dietitians, students and Allied Health Assistants
- Contribute to quality improvement, service development and evidence-based practice

What we're looking for

- Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status with Dietitians Australia
- Minimum two years' experience managing paediatric patients requiring enteral nutrition
- Experience in adult enteral feeding, including gastrointestinal surgical nutrition
- Strong clinical experience, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
- Experience supporting or supervising junior staff or students is desirable
- Experience in complex enteral feeding across adult or paediatric populations is desirable
- Current NDIS accreditation and ability to maintain ongoing NDIS credentialing
