Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Allied Health Assistant (Grade 2) to join our growing team on a Casual basis.

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Allied Health Assistant (Grade 2) to join our Allied Health team. In this role, you will provide high-quality therapy support services across a range of clinical programs, working under the guidance of Allied Health Professionals to help patients achieve their rehabilitation, recovery, and health goals. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the delivery of client-centred care while supporting service development, quality improvement, and positive patient outcomes.

The Allied Health Department at LRH offers a range of services across acute, subacute and ambulatory/community settings. We are seeking an enthusiastic Allied Health Assistant to join our casual pool. Our Allied Health Assistants may work with a specific discipline (Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology or Social Work) or within a specific program such as the Community Rehab Service to support patient therapy and the Allied Health professionals.

The role of the Allied Health Assistant (Grade 2) is to:

- Deliver therapy support services to individuals and groups under the direction of Allied Health Professionals, ensuring programs are implemented safely and effectively.
- Assist patients to achieve therapeutic goals by carrying out prescribed interventions, monitoring progress, and identifying when additional clinical input is required.
- Provide education and support to patients, families, and carers on a defined range of health and therapy-related activities.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, patient records, activity data, and administrative processes in accordance with organisational requirements.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, service development activities,



and the ongoing enhancement of Allied Health programs and service delivery.
- Support the orientation and supervision of Grade 1 Allied Health Assistants and Allied Health Assistant students while promoting a cooperative team environment.

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

- Qualified Allied Health Assistant with a Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent recognised qualification) and a current Victorian Driver's Licence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
- Organised and self-motivated, with the ability to prioritise tasks, work independently, and manage competing demands.
- Committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and supporting positive health outcomes.
- Skilled in working with people from diverse backgrounds and across a broad range of clinical settings.
- Dedicated to ongoing professional development, continuous improvement, and contributing to an inclusive, supportive healthcare environment.
