About the Role

This is more than a machine operating role. You'll play an integral part in manufacturing complex, high-value components that support critical projects across defence and aerospace industries.

In this role, you will:

- Program, set and operate medium to large 3 and 5-axis CNC machining centres.
- Manufacture complex precision components to exact engineering specifications.
- Apply your programming and machining expertise to challenging, varied work.
- Work closely with experienced machinists,



engineers and production teams.
- Solve technical challenges and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Expand your skills while working with advanced machining technologies and processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Program, set and operate CNC milling machines.
- Manufacture high-precision components to strict tolerances.
- Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
- Select and utilise precision measuring equipment to verify accuracy.
- Conduct quality checks and maintain exceptional workmanship standards.
- Follow protected work practices with a strong "Safety Before Production" mindset.
- Collaborate with a highly skilled team to achieve production objectives.

About You

You're a trade-qualified CNC Machinist who takes pride in producing quality work and enjoys the challenge of precision engineering.

You'll also bring:

- Trade qualification in Fitting & Turning or equivalent.
- Proven CNC machining experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Robust CNC programming capability.
- Experience operating 3 and 5-axis machining centres.
- Experience with Heidenhain, Siemens and/or Fanuc controls.
- CAM programming experience (Mastercam, PowerMill or similar) highly regarded.
- Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- A proactive, team-focused approach and a genuine passion for machining.
