About the role

You will work as part of an experienced kitchen team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment at a busy steakhouse restaurant, serving more than 1,400 covers per week. This is a permanent, full-time salaried position offering stability, consistent hours and the opportunity to build a long-term career within a growing hospitality group.

Key responsibilities

- Preparing and cooking premium steaks to exact customer specifications

- Trimming, portioning and preparing a variety of meat cuts

- Managing a busy kitchen section during high-volume services

- Maintaining consistent food quality, presentation and portion control

- Completing daily preparation and service requirements

- Following food-safety, hygiene and kitchen-cleaning procedures

- Assisting with stock control, rotation, ordering and waste reduction

- Communicating effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams

- Supporting junior chefs and contributing to a positive kitchen culture

About you

- Proven experience in a busy restaurant, steakhouse, grill or similar high-volume venue

- Strong knowledge of meat cuts, cooking temperatures and steak preparation

- Butchery,



meat-processing or carcass breakdown experience—highly regarded

- The ability to remain calm, organised and consistent during busy services

- Excellent attention to detail and presentation

- Strong communication, time-management and teamwork skills

- A reliable and professional attitude

- A commitment to food safety and maintaining a clean workplace

- Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays

- Relevant commercial cookery qualifications or equivalent industry experience
