About the JCTS

Joint Colleges Training Services Pty Ltd (JCTS) is a national organisation with a focus on creating greater access, acceptance and participation in healthcare for Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander peoples and communities.

JCTS is a joint venture between the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). JCTS facilitates shared GP training activities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health initiatives, delivery of cultural safety training, mentorship, and supports GP training in Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services.

About the role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Regional Manager, SA leads a regional team to deliver and promote JCTS's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health training strategy.

Working closely with cultural and medical educators, JCTS leaders, RACGP, ACRRM, ACCHOs and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, you will build strong partnerships and lead initiatives that strengthen cultural safety and improve outcomes across GP training.

The role requires regular travel across regional South Australia and occasional national travel. Some work outside standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, may also be required.

As Regional Manager, SA you’ll:

- Lead, develop and support a high-performing regional team delivering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health strategies, programs and initiatives.

- Build trusted partnerships with ACCHOs,



Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, GP Colleges and other key stakeholders.

- Strengthen communication and engagement across the region's ACCHO network.

- Ensure high-quality, evidence-based cultural education is delivered to GP registrars, supervisors and other stakeholders.

- Support strategic and operational planning, change management, governance, reporting and regional priorities.

- Identify emerging issues, manage competing priorities and support effective allocation of resources.

- Champion a culturally safe, inclusive and high-performing workplace.

About you

You are an experienced and collaborative leader with strong cultural knowledge and a demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, health priorities and the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health sector.

You are skilled at building trusted relationships, leading teams and working with diverse stakeholders to deliver practical outcomes.

You will also bring:

- Demonstrated experience working effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

- Strong knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health needs and the ACCHO sector at regional and state levels.

- Proven leadership capability, with experience developing and supporting high-performing teams.





- Strong analytical and lateral-thinking skills with the ability to lead change and improvement.

- Experience navigating complex and politically sensitive environments.

- Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and negotiation skills.

- Excellent communication skills, sound judgement and discretion.

- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills.
