About the position

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of cultural arts, community celebrations and civic events that bring people together and create memorable experiences across the City of Bayswater. As Coordinator Cultural Arts and Events, you will shape a diverse program of high-quality events, arts projects and cultural activities, while supporting community-led initiatives that reflect and celebrate our vibrant community. You will lead and inspire a talented team, casual staff and volunteers, build strong partnerships and turn creative ideas into engaging experiences with a lasting community impact.

This is a permanent, full-time position offering the opportunity to make a visible difference through creative leadership, collaboration and exceptional community experiences.

About the person

The ideal candidate will provide operational leadership for the City’s arts and events program, guiding the planning, coordination, delivery and evaluation of a diverse calendar of community and civic events. You will lead and support staff and volunteers, establish clear priorities and delivery standards, manage budgets and resources,



and build strong internal and external partnerships. With a focus on innovation, inclusion and continuous improvement, you will ensure the events program delivers high-quality experiences that celebrate the community and strengthen connections across the City.

We offer a salary of $129,501.60 per annum, inclusive of 12% superannuation and applicable allowances, as well as access to City of Bayswater staff benefits including:
