About the role

You will play an important role in the preparation, maintenance and dispatch of steel road plates and other hire equipment, ensuring customers receive equipment that is safe, clean and ready for use.

Key responsibilities

- Load and unload vehicles safely using a forklift

- Prepare, clean and inspect steel road plates and hire equipment

- Conduct equipment inspections and damage assessments on returned items

- Complete equipment condition reports and return documentation

- Carry out basic maintenance and report faults or damage

- Assist with equipment dispatch, returns and stock-control activities

- Perform general yard duties as required

- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment

About you

- Current Forklift Licence

- Current Victorian White Card

- Robust commitment to workplace health and safety

- Good attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills

- Ability to safely undertake manual handling tasks

- Reliable work ethic and positive attitude

- Experience in equipment hire, construction, logistics, transport or a trade-related industry

- Current truck licence

- Welding experience or accreditation
