Heiniger Australia is a market-leading, Swiss-owned organisation with a reputation for quality, innovation and strong customer relationships. Heiniger operates in multiple industries including agriculture, horticulture, animal grooming and, recently, the human hair sector. Following a recent executive leadership transition, the organisation is seeking an accomplished Chief Finance & Operations Officer to provide strategic, commercial and operational leadership across its Australian, New Zealand and Malaysian operations.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer while working closely with the Board, this newly shaped role combines strategic financial leadership with broad operational responsibility across supply chain, inventory, warehousing, HR, IT, business systems and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a rare opportunity for an executive who enjoys strategic execution, who wants to play a significant role in shaping the future direction of a successful international business.

The Opportunity

As a key member of the executive leadership team, you will provide trusted commercial advice to the CEO, Board and senior stakeholders while ensuring the operational foundations of the business remain strong, efficient and scalable. You will oversee an experienced finance function while leading operational activities that support business performance across Australia and New Zealand.

The role will also play a pivotal part in integrating an international acquisition, driving operational excellence and identifying opportunities to leverage emerging technologies, including AI, to improve efficiency and decision-making.



Success in this position will come from your ability to combine strategic thinking with a practical, hands-on leadership style and a genuine interest in understanding all facets of the business. It also serves as the primary financial interface with Heiniger’s Group CFO in Switzerland.

This position is based in Perth, Western Australia, with interstate and international travel as required.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide executive leadership across finance, operations and corporate services functions.
- Lead financial governance, reporting, risk management and business performance activities. This includes oversight of budgeting, taxation, audit, cashflow management and funding.
- Partner with the CEO on strategic planning, commercial decision-making and organisational growth.
- Drive operational excellence across inventory management, warehousing, logistics and business systems.
- Lead the integration of an international acquisition into existing business operations.
- Oversee HR and IT governance, ensuring effective support structures and processes are in place.
- Identify and implement opportunities for technology-enabled efficiencies and process improvement.
- Develop strong relationships with customers, suppliers, industry stakeholders and the global parent company.
- Coach, mentor and lead a diverse team while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.





About You

You are an experienced CA/CPA qualified executive who translates financial information into practical business decisions, strengthen operational performance and ensuring that the organisation’s systems, people and resources are aligned with its future growth strategy.

You will ideally bring:

- Significant leadership experience in finance, operations, commercial or general management roles.
- Strong financial management, governance and risk capability.
- The ability to oversee multiple business functions and priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrated success improving operational performance and business efficiency.
- Experience leading and developing teams within a values-driven culture.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Strong commercial judgement and strategic thinking capability.
- The confidence to challenge ideas constructively and contribute meaningfully at executive level.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and skilled credentials.

Experience within agribusiness, manufacturing, FMCG, distribution, logistics or similarly operational environments, will be highly regarded.
