We are seeking an experienced and motivated GIS Officer to support the effective delivery, maintenance and continuous improvement of Council’s geographic information systems (GIS) and spatial data services.

The role provides specialist technical advice, develops practical mapping and data solutions, and supports reliable spatial information for informed decision-making. Working collaboratively across Council, you will help improve service delivery, customer outcomes and the quality, accessibility and use of spatial and business data.

About You

You will have a qualification in Geographic Information Systems, Spatial Science, Geomatics, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

You will bring demonstrated experience in administering and supporting GIS platforms, managing spatial and business data, and applying data quality, validation, integration and management practices. You will also have the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify requirements and deliver practical system or process improvements.

Experience with ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, Experience Builder, Survey123, Field Maps, dashboards or mobile GIS solutions will be highly regarded.



Knowledge of FME, SQL, APIs, reporting or business intelligence tools for data transformation, integration, automation or visualisation is also desirable.

Experience within local government, infrastructure, property, planning, asset management or customer service environments, together with relevant ESRI, FME or skilled certification, will be advantageous.
