About the Role

As the Centre Supervisor Assistant Team Leader, you will support the Centre Supervisor Team Leader in leading and developing the Centre Supervisor Team across GESAC and Carnegie Memorial Swimming Pool.

You will provide day-to-day leadership, coaching and operational support while helping to deliver safe, welcoming and customer-focused experiences for members and visitors. Working closely with Coordinators, Team Leaders and frontline staff, you will play an important role in ensuring our facilities operate smoothly and our service standards remain high.

Key Responsibilities

- People Leadership: Support and mentor Centre Supervisors to maintain a positive, high-performing and customer-focused team culture.
- Coaching and Development: Provide regular feedback, guidance and on-the-job coaching while assisting with staff training and development.
- Operational Support: Assist in the day-to-day operation of GESAC and Carnegie Memorial Swimming Pool, ensuring service standards are consistently achieved.
- Roster Coordination: Assist with staff rostering, shift changes and timesheet approvals to ensure effective coverage across operations.
- Customer Experience:



Respond to customer feedback and support the delivery of exceptional customer service throughout the facilities.
- Facility Operations: Work closely with Coordinators, Team Leaders and contractors to support the safe and effective delivery of programs and services.
- Safety and Compliance: Support compliance with organisational policies, health and safety requirements, and industry standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Assist with service improvement initiatives, operational reporting and team performance outcomes.

Skills and Experience

- Experience leading or supervising staff in a leisure, aquatic, recreation or customer service environment.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, support and develop employees.
- Strong customer service focus with a commitment to service excellence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Experience working within a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Pool Lifeguard Qualification.




- First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis qualification.
- Management of Asthma Risks and Emergencies in the Workplace qualification.
- Aquatic Technical Operators (ATO) Certification, or willingness to obtain during employment.
