About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Leading Hand to join Versatile Group. In this role, you will lead day-to-day site activities, coordinate trades and labour, and support supervisors to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone ready to take ownership on site and grow toward a Site Supervisor position within a fast-paced, growing construction business.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Coordinate daily site activities for workers and subcontractors

- Support delivery of project timelines through effective workflow management

- Assist supervisors with planning, scheduling, and task coordination

- Allocate work based on priorities, skills, and site requirements

- Carry out general construction labour tasks when required

- Support site establishment, maintenance, and clean-up

- Assist with managing multiple site activities where required

- Provide clear daily updates to the Project Manager / Site Supervisor

- Implement and maintain WHS systems and protected work practices

- Maintain site documentation including site diaries, SWMS, and safety records

- Ensure sites are clean, organised, and compliant at all times

What We’re Looking For

- 2+ years’ experience as a Leading Hand in the construction industry

- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and sequencing

- Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications

- Strong leadership, communication,



and coordination skills

- Solid understanding of WHS/OH&S; compliance requirements

- Reliable, hardworking, and solid team-first attitude

- White Card and relevant construction qualifications (desirable)

- Current Australian Driver’s Licence

- Ability to confidently use hand and power tools
