Role focus: In the role of Contractor (Advisor Procurement) you will work as part of a regional team to develop and implement innovative procurement strategies and activities and provide procurement advice.

Accountabilities include:

- To co-ordinate and monitor the provision of timely, accurate and relevant procurement advice and information on alignment with departmental procurement business and governance framework.
- End to end procurement activity implementation including procurement planning and documentation, evaluation and supplier negotiation, contract documentation, contract management and use of supply arrangements.
- Provide accurate and qualified advice and support to clients regarding end-to-end procurement activity.
- Liaise with counterparts for provision of advice,



the gaining of further knowledge with the aim of refining local business processes and practices.
- Ensure successful business outcomes through effective resource utilisation, performance monitoring, analysis, and reporting.
- Establish and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
- Develop and implement business improvement initiatives to streamlines procurement processes and procedures for customers
- Lead and coach support staff, ensuring appropriate skill sets and training needs are identified and developed.
- Ensure operational practices and standards of service and performance comply with departmental and regional policies, legislation (incl. WH&S;), and governance obligations.
