Backed by an extensive in-house plant fleet, self-performing crews and fully accredited management systems, they have built a strong pipeline of major energy infrastructure projects and continue to expand their civil delivery capability across Queensland and beyond. The business is known for a genuine, down-to-earth culture, low turnover and a track record of promoting from within.

They are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer – Civil to join the delivery team on a major energy infrastructure project in regional Queensland.

The Opportunity

The Project Engineer – Civil will take ownership of allocated work fronts across a large-scale civil package, managing the technical, commercial and programming aspects of delivery from planning through to handover. Working closely with the Project Manager, site supervision, subcontractors and the client's representatives, you will be accountable for ensuring works are delivered safely, to specification, on program and on budget.

This is a hands-on, site-based delivery role suited to an engineer who wants genuine responsibility and exposure to significant energy infrastructure works,



with clear progression into senior delivery positions as the pipeline grows.

The role is offered on a DIDO or FIFO basis from Brisbane, working a 10/4 roster, with accommodation and travel provided.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the day-to-day technical delivery of allocated civil work fronts, including earthworks, access roads, drainage, structures and associated services
- Develop and maintain short-term look-ahead programs and coordinate crews, plant, subcontractors and materials accordingly
- Prepare and review SWMS, JSEAs and risk assessments, and actively lead safety and environmental performance on site
- Interpret drawings and specifications, identify constructability issues and develop practical engineering solutions
- Prepare and manage ITPs, hold points, conformance records, survey setout and as-built documentation
- Manage temporary works requirements including access, drainage, batters and erosion and sediment control
- Measure quantities, prepare progress claims and identify, price and substantiate variations and delays
- Monitor cost and productivity against budget and report on progress and performance
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers and internal resources
- Maintain accurate site records,



diaries, RFIs and project documentation
- Mentor and support site engineers and graduate engineers
- Liaise professionally with the client, designers, consultants and other stakeholders

About You

- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a project or site engineering role with a civil construction contractor
- Demonstrated experience across earthworks, drainage, access roads and civil structures
- Sound understanding of quality systems, ITPs and conformance requirements
- Competent with survey data, setout and quantity measurement
- Solid contract administration exposure including claims, variations and record keeping
- Experience on energy, resources, water or major infrastructure projects highly regarded
- Strong erosion and sediment control knowledge, particularly in regional or environmentally sensitive environments
- Genuine commitment to safety, quality and environmental compliance
- Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working a DIDO/FIFO roster in a regional site environment
- Current C-class driver's licence and General Construction Induction (White Card)
