C.E.M Alliance are seeking experienced Boilermakers / Coded Welders with strong structural steelwork and heavy fabrication experience to join a major RTIO Parker Point Reclaimer project in Karratha.

This is an exciting chance to work on a large-scale mining project involving major structural steelwork, Reclaimer shutdowns, heavy equipment and the relocation of a 2,300-tonne machine using SPMTs.

Pre-Christmas shutdown from 10th November -20th December. (Site closed for Christmas/New year) project commences 5th January - March/April 2027

About the Role You will be working as part of a skilled shutdown and construction team carrying out structural steel fabrication, installation and welding associated with the Parker Point Reclaimer project.
Duties will include:

- Structural steel fabrication and installation
- Installation and welding of transport cradles
- Installation and welding of structural stiffeners
- Heavy structural modifications and repairs
- Butt joint and fillet welding
- Flux-core welding
- Welding in various positions, including vertical
- Basic surface preparation and treatment of welded areas
- Working from drawings and specifications
- Shutdown preparation and execution
- Installation of structural components around Reclaimer equipment
- General boiler making and structural steelwork
- Working safely around heavy equipment,



scaffolding and mobile plant

Mandatory Weld Test
A practical weld test is mandatory for this position.
All shortlisted welders will be required to successfully complete a weld test prior to mobilisation.
The test will assess practical welding ability relevant to the project, including structural steelwork, butt and fillet welds and flux-core welding.

- White Card
- Current Driver's Licence
- Working at Heights – less than 2 years old
- Enter & Work in Confined Spaces
- EWP Ticket
- Fire Warden Training
- RTIO WA Essentials
- RTIO Isolation Work Practices Theory & Lockholder Training via Aveling
- Relevant Boilermaker / Coded Welder trade qualification
- Current coded welding qualifications where applicable

Current RTIO inductions are highly regarded.
