Job Impact

We are seeking a professional and proactive NV1 Security Officer to support the safety and security of Airservices facilities. This is a critical role responsible for access control, alarm response, monitoring operations, and incident management within a high-security, regulated environment protecting nationally significant infrastructure.

About the Role

As an NV1 Security Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the security and integrity of Airservices facilities. You will be responsible for controlling site access, monitoring security systems, conducting patrols, responding to alarms, and ensuring compliance with security procedures and client requirements.

This position operates on a rotating 4 on / 4 off roster, providing excellent work-life balance while working in a highly professional security environment.

Roster Pattern

- 2 x Day Shifts: 0600 - 1800
- 2 x Night Shifts: 1800 - 0600

Key Responsibilities

Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

- Control and monitor access to Airservices facilities in accordance with government and client requirements
- Verify identification including ASIC and AIC cards and issue visitor passes
- Monitor CCTV, alarms and security systems through Gallagher
- Respond to local, state and national alarms, coordinating mobile patrols and guarding services where required
- Conduct regular foot patrols of the facility
- Generate, maintain and deactivate access cards while ensuring accurate record keeping
- Escalate incidents appropriately to Site Managers and Security Management




- Complete detailed daily activity reports, visitor logs and incident reports
- Maintain control room and security operations
- Support emergency response procedures and incident coordination
- Liaise professionally with stakeholders, visitors, contractors and emergency services when required
- Ensure compliance with security procedures, policies and regulatory requirements

About You

You are a security professional with solid situational awareness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and decisive when responding to incidents.

Mandatory Requirements

- NV1 Security Clearance
- Current QLD Security Licence (Monitoring & Unarmed)
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Australian or New Zealand Citizen, or Permanent Resident
- Current Driver's Licence
- ASIC Clearance or ability to obtain one

Highly Desirable

- MSIC
- Control Room Licence
- White Card

Skills & Experience

- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent observation, problem-solving and reporting abilities
- Confidence operating CCTV, alarm monitoring and access control systems
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Strong computer literacy and attention to detail
- Experience working within secure, regulated or critical infrastructure environments
