Language Disorder Australia is seeking a reliable Facilities Officer to help maintain safe, functional and welcoming grounds and facilities at Mancel College.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work and wants to make a meaningful contribution to a school community.
About the role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of the college grounds and facilities, including:
- Maintaining lawns, gardens, pathways and outdoor learning areas
- Mowing, edging, pruning, watering and rubbish removal
- Completing minor maintenance and general site upkeep
- Safely operating tools, equipment and grounds maintenance machinery
- Supporting swimming pool maintenance, including basic water testing
- Identifying and reporting hazards and maintenance requirements
- Working in accordance with WHS policies and procedures
About you
You will bring:
- Experience in facilities, groundskeeping, maintenance or a similar role
- Practical skills and confidence using tools and equipment
- A robust work ethic and pride in presentation
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of WHS and safe equipment use
- A current C Class Driver’s Licence (mandatory)
- A current Blue Card or willingness to obtain one
