About the Role

Donaldson Mechanical Pty Ltd is looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join our team at our Kojonup workshop.

This role involves assisting qualified tradespersons and other team members with a variety of tasks within the workshop, while developing mechanical knowledge and practical trade skills through hands-on training and formal education.

We are looking for someone who is keen to learn, isn't afraid to get their hands dirty and, most importantly, will fit well within our team.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist tradespersons and other team members with a variety of workshop and mechanical tasks.

- Learn and develop mechanical and trade skills through hands-on experience and training.

- Attend all required TAFE classes and work towards successfully completing relevant qualifications and certificates.

- Properly use, care for and maintain workshop tools, equipment and materials.

- Assist with the security and safe storage of vehicles and equipment under workshop control.

- Help keep the workshop and surrounding areas clean, tidy, organised and secure.

- Maintain accurate daily records of work completed, labour and materials used.

- Follow all workplace health and safety requirements, including the correct use of PPE at all times.

- Provide professional and friendly service when dealing with customers, suppliers and other employees.

- Follow all Donaldson Mechanical Pty Ltd policies, procedures and workplace practices.

- Complete other reasonable duties as directed by the Manager, Supervisor or tradespersons.

About You

We are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and genuinely interested in learning and developing their mechanical skills.

The right person will:

- Have completed Year 12.

- Hold a current manual driver's licence.





- Have a strong work ethic and take pride in doing a job properly.

- Be a team player who is willing to lend a hand wherever needed.

- Have a good sense of humour and enjoy working as part of a friendly, hardworking team.

- Be reliable, punctual and ready to work.

- Have a positive attitude and a genuine willingness to learn.

- Show initiative and be willing to have a go.

- Be comfortable asking questions when unsure rather than guessing.

- Be able to follow instructions and complete work to a high standard.

- Be committed to attending all required TAFE classes and successfully completing their studies.

- Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers, suppliers and other team members.

- Understand the importance of working safely and looking out for others in the workshop.

- Be willing to learn from experienced tradespeople and take feedback on board.

Previous mechanical experience is an advantage, but a good attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are just as important to us.
