About the role

TLE Electrical Penrith is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Internal Sales/Counterhand to join our team in Penrith, NSW. This is a full-time position based at our Penrith NSW 2750 location. As Internal Sales/Counterhand, you will be the face of our organisation, delivering exceptional service to our customers at the counter whilst managing sales transactions and product enquiries. This role is pivotal in driving customer satisfaction and generating sales opportunities within our retail environment.

Key responsibilities

- Provide friendly and efficient service to customers at the counter, assisting them with product selection and enquiries

- Process sales transactions accurately and securely, including cash, card and other payment methods

- Maintain product knowledge and communicate product features, advantages and pricing to customers

- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products to maximise sales opportunities

- Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally, seeking resolution in a timely manner

- Keep the counter area clean, organised and well-stocked at all times

- Assist with stock management, including receiving, checking and rotating inventory





- Support promotional activities and ensure marketing materials are displayed effectively

- Maintain compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations and loss prevention procedures

What we're looking for

- Previous experience in retail, sales or a customer-facing role is highly desirable

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage customers confidently

- Excellent numeracy skills and proficiency with point-of-sale systems

- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- A positive attitude, reliability and commitment to delivering outstanding customer service

- Attention to detail and organisational skills

- Flexibility to work retail hours, including potential weekend shifts

- A willingness to learn about products and develop knowledge of our industry
