About the Role

We are currently seeking skilled operators to train and develop in Surface Miner operations for mining and civil projects across Australia.

Our Wirtgen Surface Miners are highly specialised pieces of equipment, so previous Surface Miner experience is not required. We are looking for experienced operators with a robust machinery background who are interested in learning a unique skill set and developing into a Surface Miner Operator.

Experience operating earthmoving equipment, profilers, stabilisers or other large mobile plant, along with familiarity with GPS systems, would be highly regarded.

Successful candidates will receive on the job training and support in Surface Miner operations, working alongside experienced personnel to become confident and competent operating our specialised fleet.

Positions are available for immediate start and include a mix of rostered onsite/FIFO work across our projects, along with Perth-based workshop duties as required.

For the right candidates, this is an opportunity to develop a specialised skill set, upskill within the business and progress into further qualifications and trade certifications.

About You

We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

- Experience:



Operating heavy earthmoving equipment such as Excavators, Graders, Dozers, Vermeer, Profilers, or Stabilisers.

- Background: Experience in Civil/Construction or Mining is highly desirable.

- Attitude: A positive mindset with a strong commitment to safety.

- Development: A willingness to continually learn and grow in the role.

- Team Player: Motivated and quality-focused, comfortable working in small crews.

Requirements:

- Current driver's license.

- Ability to provide a National police check if required for specific projects.

- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical/DAS.

Desirable but not essential:

- Experience with Wirtgen or Vermeer Mining, Profiling, or Stabilising equipment.

- Current HR license.
