Help shape the supply plan behind a busy manufacturing operation

An excellent prospect is available for an experienced Supply Planner to join an established manufacturing business based in Villawood, NSW.

Reporting to the National Planning Manager, the Supply Planner will be responsible for ensuring product availability by balancing demand forecasts, inventory levels and production capacity.

You'll act as an important link between Sales, Procurement and Manufacturing, helping drive operational efficiency, minimise stockouts and avoid unnecessary excess inventory.

The Role:
This is a hands-on and analytical planning position with responsibility for developing and executing supply plans across a minimum rolling 12-month horizon.
Your responsibilities will include:

- Developing and executing supply plans to ensure stock availability
- Analysing demand against lead times and available production capacity
- Developing monthly supply plans aligned with inventory requirements
- Balancing production and warehouse capacity constraints
- Communicating supply plans, risks and potential constraints to key stakeholders
- Working closely with the Demand Planner to identify risks and opportunities and develop mitigation plans
- Generating and executing production plans to support customer service levels of 98%+
- Maintaining production schedules while balancing operational efficiency and inventory health
- Monitoring schedule adherence and analysing the root causes of changes
- Managing inventory within your portfolio and supporting optimal stock turnover
- Participating in Supply Review, IBP/ITP, NPD and Supply Chain project meetings

About You
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

- Minimum 2–3 years' experience in a similar supply planning role
- Experience working with ERP planning modules
- Strong analytical capability and expert-level Excel skills
- Understanding of Materials Requirements Planning (MRP)
- Understanding of Master Production Scheduling
- Understanding of Capacity Requirements Planning
- Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Logistics and/or Materials Management
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Confidence working across multiple functions and stakeholder groups

You'll be analytical and commercially minded but equally comfortable communicating with people across the business. You'll need to work through ambiguity, identify potential problems before they become bigger issues and remain composed when production or supply plans change unexpectedly.
