The Company

Green Farmers is one of Australia’s largest medicinal cannabis cultivator located in Victoria’s South East (approximately an hour and a half from the city). We are growing quickly and need to expand our team to meet current customer demand and our business growth strategy.

The Role

The Integrated Pest and Disease Management Specialists is responsible for the success and development of the IPDM program for the business. With particular focus on the horticultural wellbeing of the crop to result in maximum yield and quality for our customers and patients. They will ensure the department operates efficiently while enforcing a high level of quality and performance. This is a full time position with variable hours required including weekends. This role will report to the Cultivation Manager.

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

- Create, implement and oversee the IPDM program

- Weekly scouting for identification and immediate remediation of any insect or disease, including scouting report to stakeholders

- Analyse and review data to provide continuous improvement;

- Work with managers and suppliers on IPM costs and efficiencies

- Support SOP development and implementation of SOPs, and work instructions;

- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant State and Federal regulations;

- Temperatures from 20 to 30 degrees plus

Candidates with more extensive experience in the medicinal cannabis industry and general horticulture will be viewed favorably and compensated accordingly. You must have a preparedness to share your knowledge, opinion and experience, whilst accepting the team’s decision and work together to achieve excellence.

All candidates are required to undergo a Police and Bankruptcy/Insolvency check prior to commencement, a cost which will be covered by Green Farmers.
