How you’ll make an impact:

As a Senior Software Engineer at Sidekicker, you’ll build and maintain the systems that thousands of workers and businesses rely on daily. With the engineering team scaling and significant architectural decisions ahead, you’ll have real influence over how our platform evolves - not just what we build, but how we build it.

You’ll work within a cross-functional product team that owns features end to end, from development through to release and iteration.



This is a role for someone who wants to solve meaningful technical problems, raise the bar on engineering quality, and continue growing their impact.

What you’ll do:

- Write code that thousands of Sidekicks and businesses rely on every day

- Collaborate with Product and Design to help shape product specifications

- Contribute to the quality and maintainability of long-lived systems while continuing to ship regularly

- Help shape how we build software, including testing, observability, maintainability and the practical use of AI tools

- Be part of a tight-knit, high-performing team that values trust and respect for one another

What we’re looking for:

Key skills & qualities:

- Pragmatic approach to building and testing software

- Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity for tackling complex challenges

- Adaptability to agile environments and shifting priorities

- Clear, effective communication skills

- Solid engineering fundamentals and a commitment to writing clean, high-quality code

Experience we’d love to see:

- 6+ years in software development, with experience owning systems end to end

- Comfortable making architectural decisions and navigating tradeoffs

- Track record of driving technical improvements beyond your immediate tasks

- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)

- Strong PHP backend experience, or comparable language with the ability to get up to speed in PHP quickly

- Full-stack experience, especially with React and TypeScript, is a plus
