Role and Responsibilities:

We have a number of fixed-term teaching opportunities for Term 1, 2027, providing long service leave cover across the areas below. Applicants may have a combination of these methods to construct full-time loads, or have select methods to work part-time.

- English & Humanities - teaching English & Humanities across Years 7-11 within the Senior School (potential 6 month contract).
- VCE Art - teaching VCE Units 3/4 Creative Practice.
- Science - teaching Science across Years 7-10 within the Senior School (potential 6 month contract).
- Drama - teaching Performing Arts to students in Years 7-10, experience teaching Dance would also be advantageous.

The specific teaching load and year levels will vary across each position. Candidates are encouraged to apply for the area or areas that align with their qualifications, experience and teaching expertise. Please ensure your preferences are outlined in your application letter.

You will ideally have:

- Relevant teaching qualifications and current VIT registration.
- Demonstrated teaching experience in one or more of the advertised subject areas.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
- The ability to plan and deliver effective learning experiences that cater to a range of student abilities.
- A team-oriented approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a teaching team.
- Strong organisational and classroom management skills.
- A flexible and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning.
- A commitment to student wellbeing, safety and positive learning outcomes.
