About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Assistant Venue Manager to join the team at Pepe’s on the Beach.

Working closely with the Venue Manager, you’ll play a key role in overseeing day-to-day operations across the restaurant and gaming areas, leading the team during service and ensuring consistently high standards of guest experience, compliance and operational performance.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys being on the floor, leading by example and taking ownership of the guest experience while supporting the broader management team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support the Venue Manager with the day-to-day operation of the venue

- Lead, support and motivate the FOH team during service

- Oversee floor operations and ensure consistently high service standards

- Support the management and operation of the gaming room in line with compliance requirements

- Monitor venue presentation,



service standards and operational performance

- Manage guest enquiries, feedback and service recovery professionally

- Assist with staff training, onboarding and ongoing performance development

- Support rostering, labour management and daily operational planning

- Conduct team briefings and communicate operational requirements

- Ensure compliance with RSA, RCG, WHS and venue policies

- Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling and daily reconciliation where required

- Work closely with the Venue Manager and wider hotel and management teams

- Help create a positive, professional and high-performing team environment

About You:

- Previous experience as an Assistant Venue Manager in a similar hospitality setting

- Current RSA and RCG certification, as well as ARCG (or willing to obtain)

- Confident leading and motivating a team in a fast-paced environment

- Strong understanding of responsible service and gaming compliance

- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills

- Hands-on and proactive approach to service and venue operations

- Strong guest focus with a genuine passion for hospitality

- Confident handling challenging situations and service recovery

- Reliable,



professional and well-presented

- Flexible availability including weekends, evenings and public holidays

- Have (or is willing to obtain) a Police Check

- Full Australian working rights (sponsorship not available for this role)
