THE OPPORTUNITY

This is an opportunity to join Lightforce at an exciting point in its digital transformation where you'll have the opportunity to shape the architecture, build solutions that make a real difference to the business and establish the foundations for a future internal digital platform’s capability.

This isn't a role where you'll simply be handed a specification and asked to write code. We need someone who can understand the problem, challenge assumptions, design the solution and make it happen.

You'll work closely with our IT Manager, executives and teams across the business to turn ideas and business requirements into practical, scalable technology solutions.

The role will be responsible for:

- Owning and evolving our digital platform and integration architecture

- Designing,



building and maintaining customer-facing and internal applications

- Developing APIs and integrations across BigCommerce, NetSuite ERP and other business systems

- Connecting ecommerce, ERP, CRM, warehouse, fulfilment, reporting and other platforms

- Identifying opportunities to automate manual processes and improve how the business operates

- Translating business ideas into practical technical solutions and delivery plans

- Establishing strong development, testing, deployment and documentation practices

- Troubleshooting complex application, integration and data issues

- Providing technical advice to executives and business stakeholders

- Managing specialist technology vendors where required

- Taking long-term ownership of the platforms and solutions you build

ABOUT YOU

You are a strategic thinker who can understand the difference between building technology and creating business value, you will take ownership of our digital platforms, integrations and application development.

You will have demonstrated experience as a senior developer or architecture-level experience with strong API, systems integration, database and data-modelling skills.

Experience in integrating eCommerce, ERP, CRM, inventory and warehouse systems, with strong knowledge of cloud-hosted solutions, source control, testing and CI/CD will be highly regarded.





We're looking for someone with substantial commercial software engineering experience who is ready to take genuine ownership of architecture and delivery.
