Network Engineer | Banking | 12-Month Contract | Sydney

The Opportunity

A leading Australian financial services organisation is expanding its project delivery team and is looking to engage multiple Network Engineers for a long-term contract opportunity.

This is a hands-on project-focused role, working across network security, infrastructure upgrades, vulnerability remediation and firewall transformation initiatives within a large enterprise environment on Cisco and F5 kit.

Key Responsibilities

- Assess, prioritise and remediate network infrastructure vulnerabilities
- Deliver network security hardening initiatives across enterprise environments
- Support large-scale firewall migration projects
- Perform network hardware refreshes and software upgrades




- Execute network patching and lifecycle management activities
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide root cause analysis
- Help maintain a secure and resilient network environment

Skills & Experience

- Strong experience with Cisco routing and switching
- Experience managing next-generation firewalls, ideally Cisco or Palo Alto
- Exposure to enterprise wireless networks and WLC technologies
- Hands-on experience with F5 technologies, including LTM, GTM and Big-IQ
- Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices
- Proven experience with vulnerability remediation and security hardening programs
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities within complex environments
