About the role

As ICT Operations Manager, you will lead a highly engaged team of 18 ICT professionals delivering Service Desk, End User Computing, Infrastructure and Cyber Security functions across a contemporary technology landscape. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, this position provides the opportunity to shape and influence ICT operations within one of Queensland's fastest growing local governments.

You will provide strategic and operational leadership across a hybrid, multi-cloud and XaaS environment, ensuring reliable, secure and customer-focused technology services that enable organisational success. while building capability and driving continuous improvement.

Working as a key member of the ICT leaderships team, you will drive continuous improvement, build capability and play a pivotal role in Council's digital transformation journey working with technology partners and business leaders to maximise value, innovation and service outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading and developing Service Desk, End User Computing, Infrastructure and Cyber Security teams
- Building internal capability and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance
- Developing and executing ICT operations and cyber security strategies
- Ensuring reliable,



secure and customer-focused technology services through effective governance and operational management
- Building strong stakeholder and technology partner relationships to maximise value and outcomes
- Leading operational planning, budget management and service improvement initiatives

About you

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Extensive experience leading ICT Operations functions across Service Desk, End User Computing, Infrastructure and Cyber Security
- Demonstrated success leading ICT transformation and service improvement initiatives within complex hybrid and cloud-enabled environments
- Strong strategic, operational and people leadership skills, with a proven ability to develop high-performing teams and build internal capability
- Experience developing trusted stakeholder relationships and influencing outcomes across a diverse organisation
- A collaborative and customer-focused approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Alignment with Council's values of safety and wellbeing, communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency and leadership
