Overview

We are seeking a confident and experienced Secondary English Teacher to join a well-regarded all-boys secondary school in Melbourne for Terms 3 and 4.

This is a full-time fixed-term role with a diverse teaching load, requiring strong classroom management skills and experience delivering VCE English.

Teaching load includes
2 x Year 11 English (VCE) classes
Year 8 English
Year 9 Religion
Wellbeing class

About the Role

The successful teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and structured English programs across middle and senior year levels, with a solid emphasis on VCE preparation and student achievement.

You will also contribute to student wellbeing and religious education, supporting the holistic development of students within a supportive school setting.

Key Requirements




Relevant secondary teaching qualification
VIT registration (or eligibility)
Strong experience teaching VCE English
Excellent classroom management skills
Ability to teach across English, Religion, and Wellbeing
Strong communication and student engagement skills
Proven ability to support diverse learners in a structured environment

Experienced with senior English (VCE essential)
