About the role

MINIX HOMES PTY LTD is an established painting and decorating business looking for a qualified and experienced full-time Painter and Decorator to join our team. You will be responsible for applying paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other finishes to protect and decorate interior and exterior surfaces of residential and commercial structures.

Key responsibilities
Examining plans and specifications to determine quantities of materials required
Preparing surfaces by removing old paint, filling cracks, and sanding down rough spots
Erecting scaffolding and ladders safely to access elevated work areas
Mixing, matching, and thinning paint to achieve required colours and specified textures
Applying different paint, varnishes, stains, and lacquers using hand tools or equipment such as brushes, rollers, or spray guns




Hanging wallpaper and decorative fabric linings on interior walls if required
Cleaning up work sites, equipment, and maintaining a safe working setting

About you
An Australian AQF Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (or an equivalent international qualification)
Minimum of 1 to 2 years of verified, full time post-qualification work experience
Robust attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently or in a team
Knowledge of compliance with Australian occupational health and safety standards
White card compulsory
