Senior Associate, Future Energy | Top-Tier Australian Law Firm | Sydney

A dedicated Future Energy practice advising on the technologies and projects driving the energy transition
Acts for developers, investors, energy majors, and government across renewables, BESS, hydrogen, transmission, and emerging energy technologies

The role
Advise on the development, procurement, and delivery of renewable energy and storage projects
Draft and negotiate key project documents, including EPC, OEM supply, O&M;, connection, and offtake agreements
Work on transactions, sell-downs, and investments across the energy transition, including FID-stage projects
Advise clients navigating government schemes such as the Capacity Investment Scheme and state-based tenders




Collaborate with finance, corporate, and regulatory colleagues on complex, multi-disciplinary matters
Supervise and mentor junior lawyers, and build your own client relationships

What you'll bring
Solid PQE in energy, projects, or infrastructure, ideally from a top-tier or international firm
Hands-on experience with renewables or energy project work (BESS, hydrogen, or transmission highly regarded)
A commercial, practical approach that clients trust
Confidence running matters with minimal supervision
Admission to practice in Australia
