About Us

Working closely with senior management in Australia and Japan, you will analyse business performance, support acquired businesses, prepare management reports, and contribute to future investment and acquisition initiatives.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys financial analysis while also wanting broader exposure to M&A;, business strategy and corporate development.

Responsibilities
Prepare regular financial and business performance reports for the head office in Japan
Analyse financial results, budgets, forecasts, KPIs and business performance
Prepare reports, presentations and financial analysis for senior management
Work closely with management and portfolio companies to gather and analyse financial and operational information
Conduct market, industry and competitor research
Research and identify potential M&A; and investment opportunities in Australia




Assist with financial modelling and other analysis related to potential investments and acquisitions
Support broader strategic, financial and business projects as required
Liaise with stakeholders in both Australia and Japan

Your Profile

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
Previous experience in financial analysis, management reporting, corporate planning, M&A;, corporate development, accounting, consulting, or a similar role
Experience preparing financial or management reports will be highly regarded
Valuable understanding of financial statements, budgets and business performance
Robust Excel and Microsoft Office skills
Strong research and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently in a growing business environment
Solid attention to detail and commercial awareness
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Fluent Japanese and English language skills, both written and spoken

Experience in M&A;, post-merger integration, financial modelling or investment analysis would be highly regarded.
