You can be based in Newcastle full time, or in Sydney with travel to Newcastle at least one day a week.

About the role

You'll advise on a broad range of general property law matters. That includes acquisitions and disposals, options, leases, licences, easements,



restrictive covenants, Crown Land and regulatory matters. The practice also works across:
major tenders
property development projects
social and affordable housing projects
social infrastructure matters
activation and divestment of government land
land due diligence
multi-million-dollar purchases and sales
commercial and retail leasing

This is a role for a lawyer who wants variety, strong client exposure and room to grow.

What you'll bring

You'll ideally have:
3 to 7 years' post-admission experience in property law
strong experience across general property transactions and advisory work
excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills
the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
a commercial, solutions-focused mindset
solid client relationship skills
excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
