We’re a growing hospitality group operating multiple venues across Sydney and regional NSW, and we’re looking for an experienced Assistant Management Accountant to join our team.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys getting into the numbers, keeping things organised and helping management understand how each venue is performing.

You’ll work closely with senior management and our venue managers, with exposure across the financial performance of the broader group.

The role

Your responsibilities will include:
Weekly P&L; and venue performance reporting
Accounts payable and receivable oversight
Payroll checking and reconciliation
Bank and credit-card reconciliations
Cash-flow tracking and forecasting
Supplier spend and cost analysis
Food and labour cost reporting
Budget vs actual reporting
Identifying unusual expenses, wastage and margin issues
Preparing regular management reports
Working with venue managers to ensure invoices and financial information are provided on time




Liaising with our external accountant and bookkeeper where required
Helping improve financial systems, controls and reporting as the group grows

About you
Minimum 2 years’ hands-on experience in an accounting, finance or bookkeeping role
Strong Excel skills
Valuable understanding of P&L; reporting, reconciliations and basic management reporting
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Strong spoken and written English communication skills
Confident communicating directly with venue managers, suppliers and senior management
Solid organisational skills and comfortable following people up when information is required
Australian workplace experience highly regarded
Hospitality or multi-site business experience would be highly regarded

This is a hands‑on role and is not designed as a graduate‑entry position.
