Maxwell Recruitment and Training has been a specialist supplier of skilled labour for over 15 years and currently has an chance for an experienced Trade Assistant to join an established electrical business based in Cardiff.

This is a hands on role working within a busy electrical workshop, supporting qualified tradespeople and assisting with the movement, preparation, repair and overhaul of electrical equipment and components.

Key Responsibilities
Assist qualified electrical tradespeople with day-to-day workshop activities
Assist with the disassembly and reassembly of electrical equipment and components
Operate a forklift to load, unload and move equipment and materials
Clean and prepare components for repair, overhaul and testing
Use a range of hand and power tools
Assist with loading and unloading trucks
Complete manual handling and general labouring duties
Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop
Follow all site safety procedures and supervisor instructions

What We're Looking For
Current Forklift Licence -essential
Previous Trade Assistant, workshop, manufacturing or industrial experience
MR or HR Truck Licence highly regarded
Physically fit and capable of completing manual handling and labour intensive duties
Confident using hand and power tools
Strong safety awareness
Reliable with a valuable work ethic and willingness to assist wherever required
Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport

Note: candidates will be required to complete drug and alcohol testing prior to commencement.
